On The Air: TWC Contributor Appears on The Peggy Smedley Show

By Steve Thompson – Jan. 22, 2021

The Watt Car offers analysis of automotive electrification. As you know, we cover everything from full EVs to hybrids, plug-in hybrids, hydrogen, and other fuel sources that ultimately culminate in electric drive (although we have ventured into other tangentially related realms, too, like Space X and electric flight through EVTOLs). For our content, we lean heavily on experienced automotive journalists and analysts who make their living in the automotive industry. Consequently, it’s not surprising when one of our analysts also appears elsewhere.

Most recently, one of The Watt Car’s most prolific contributors, Edward A. Sanchez, made a guest appearance on The Peggy Smedley Show podcast, discussing the future of the EV market.

“A lot of people who are really pro free-market kind of bristle at this, but I think the elephant in the room that you can’t really avoid is a lot of [electrification] is regulatory driven,” Sanchez kicked off in the podcast when Smedley inquired about the impact of electrification on the automotive market.

The 15-minute podcast proceeds to cover everything from consumer demand to EV affordability to charge time, international charging infrastructure, the environmental impact of EV batteries, and more.

The podcast episode featuring Sanchez can be found below, at The Peggy Smedley Show website, or via your favorite podcast player.
